Thank you, Jennifer. I bought a white "Jill" to take with me on a trip to Rome and wore it out to lunch. Rookie mistake...I got one tiny spec of tomato sauce on it!

Just wanted to let you know that there was a happy ending to the situation. First of all, I was warned several years ago never to use Tide Pens because in some instances, they can actually set the stain. I put just a small dot of mild detergent directly on the spot while the shirt was still dry, massaged it gently with my finger, let it set, then soaked it with a sink filled with cold water and the same detergent rinsed well, rolled it in a towel and dried it flat on a rack. Voila! Needs just a little steaming as you just suggested.

I purchased two John Smedley polos. One was the Jill and the other was a bit heavier weight and buttons all the way down the front. Please tell me how you care for yours?

Hi Kim. I haven't worn mine enough yet to wash it, but I will most likely use a delicate wash and do it in the sink and then hang dry and steam. Hope this helps!

I am so crazy about this post! Any chance you could help me out with ideas about how to translate this sophisticated tailored vibe to the three (actually five, given that two have two events each) upcoming commencements I will be attending these next few months? Not allowed to wear white. Two in Syracuse, two in Beverly Hills, one in Newport Beach, CA. Everyone will be in feminine dresses, and that just isn’t me.

I would look at Toteme. They have simple, elegant dresses and why not an off-white pantsuit? Does that count as white? It doesn't in my book.

Thank you so so much! I bought that beautiful white sleeveless deep v dress from Toteme that you shared earlier and love it. I will look at their suiting. Thank you!!

I've been looking at that Attersee knit! Do you think it can work in the summer? It's tricky to find pieces that work just as well in air conditioning as outside when it's 80+!

It is super light, so it might work. I feel people react differently to cashmere in summer so hard to tell.
