I'm from Texas. I remember when you visited Neimans to get stylish clothes, that weren't available anywhere else, in our city. Beautiful clothes that lasted a long time and made you feel special. Now they are just another department store.
Thank you for the mention! I want to post often more on Substack so this just encouraged me. Also I’m requesting that you do a special post on bags because you always have the best ones like the Margaux and that Hermes that you carried to lunch the other week. Still haven’t pulled the trigger on your Celine bag but maybe this spring! xoxoxo
Have loved the Serpenti watches since I first saw a vintage one at Barneys (back when there was a Barneys). Was about to pull the trigger on EBay a couple years ago as a gift to myself for my 50th. But started seeing new ones on celebrity wrists and it suddenly felt so much less interesting/ special. 🐍 Still tempted occasionally, tho.
I found Roucha on instagram too! I've ordered a bunch of things from them, I like their barrel jeans and that they offer almost petite sizes bc I'm 5'1", but even the AA (which is smallest), the cuts are very large so Ive had to make returns. Anyway, I'm still a fan, cool clothes at a great price point!
Just a note of caution on Roucha - I loved the look of their clothes and bought a cashmere set the very first season. Unfortunately the quality was terrible (I looked like a fur ball by the fourth wear)! Report back; maybe it’s gotten better?
Unfortunately, I had the same experience ordering a cashmere-wool blend cost last year. Really loved how it looked, but it got so rumpled and looked felted in spots where the belt or buttons touched the rest of the coat. Such a shame bc it had a really cool fit/drape.
I haven't worn it yet because it's too cold, but I am very glad I bought it. Just looking at it in my closet makes me happy. I think it will be the same as my red cashmere sweaters that make me feel good when I wear them.
I’d love to see a Uniqlo & Cos post, although for me the fit of cos’ clothes is off. Their designs are great though.
Interesting. I find they fit, they just run smaller than some brands for me. Always a 6 in COS when often I'm a 4.
I’ve had the opposite issue. So boxy and oversized it often doesn’t flatter even if I size down.

Not for long sadly either. I grew up in Dallas (when I was very young) and remember going to Neiman's with my mom. RIP.

Noted! Bag post coming up.
+1 to this request! I'd like to see your collection, and which you reach for most frequently.
It's very small.
Even better!
Yes!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I do like them as well....just don't like them at JFK.
Fair assessment. ✈️🚫

I shouldn’t have clicked through on the rain jacket. I’m slightly obsessed with the navy version.

Noted! I do think cotton coat fabric is less issue-rife than cashmere. Fingers crossed.
How do you feel about the Roucha jacket? I'm contemplating but it still feels expensive. Worth it? Do you love?
Hi Jessie,

we can hem and haw over the Serpenti, but what's the watch in your picture with the Margeaux? ?
It is a 1990 Rolex Day Date in rose gold. xx
Would love to hear your recs from Cos/Uniqlo, including fit advice. Thanks!
