I wasn’t going to post on Election Day, but here I am, because maybe you, like me, need to stop doom scrolling. Honestly, I feel quite positive right now, but ask me again in eight hours.
First up: Election Day Distractions
Clean out/organize your t-shirt/underwear/sock drawer. I did my tees which had devolved into a drawer blob. Super helpful and I discovered one I forgot I had.
Go for a run.
Go for a walk.
Read something short by a writer you admire. That would be Joan Didion for me.
Shop for socks. It’s the one accessory that I ignore and need. Everyone keeps mentioning Comme Si socks. I love the colors. Plus it’s a cozy purchase; cozy seems apropos right now.
Go for another run.
Go for another walk.
Read Cathy Horyn’s great piece on finding her style in her 60s.
What I Wore Last Week
I had a three day (and one evening) jewelry trunk show at Etéreo Vintage last week (more pics later) and the one thing I enjoyed beyond meeting clients (and some FOF’s—thanks for stopping by!) was getting dressed in clothes I can’t typically wear running around the city. Thought I would share my rundown.
First outfit for evening presentation to press and clients: Toteme sleeveless silk wrap blouse I bought on sale in the spring (which you can still find here and here), old tuxedo pants from Pallas, Phoebe Philo sandals which sat in my closet for months (available again), my Solitaire Diamond JJ Case Memento Pendant.
First full day: My Micky Paris custom shirt (she’s coming back in the Spring if you missed her), The Row Benson skirt from last Spring, Manolo Blahnik Maysale mules, my Grey Pearl Bullseye and Tahitian Pearl Pendants on my Double Link Chain.
Day Two: If you read what I’m wearing for fall—see, I am. My The Row Ule blazer and matching trousers (both from Spring, bought on sale, to wear now), old YSL shirt, The Row Liisa python pumps, my grandmother’s pearl bracelet which I transformed into a necklace (and can customize your pearls, too).
Day Three: Alex Eagle navy cashmere sweater; vintage Celine lace-trimmed camsiole (like this); Maria McManus pants; Manolo Maysales, same necklace, and my signet ring.
And finally, this Valentino dress that Zabrina of Etéreo had. I fell in love, but don’t need a gown, luckily someone else (who looked much better in it) snatched it up!
Sending everyone positive vibes!

Jennifer, each outfit is stunning. 🖤 Black is my default color ~ I always feel my best self when I’m wearing black!
I was not expecting to post either but after a punishing workout this am that boosted my mood significantly, I sent an IG reel into the world of me doing burpees. Fitness can truly take our mind off of the anxiety, even if for a short time.
