Welcome to my Spring Edit—a definitive list of 10 items that are the cornerstone of what I will wear this Spring. I wanted to keep it all in one post, so it’s easier to reference. I will try my best to take photos in my clothes for the next post. I also have added a shopping list to my ShopMy page which you can visit (including everything I love, not just items I receive commission on—you know how I feel about this stuff.) Let’s start!

The most influential collection for me for Spring was Celine. It wasn’t groundbreaking by any means. Rather Michael Rider’s emphasis on classic tailoring and a sort of fetishizing of iconic pieces—the button-down shirt, the double-breasted blazer, a boucle Chanel-esque blazer, jeans, a crewneck sweater—gave us permission to shop our closets. I am adding pieces here and there (mostly shoes), but ultimately the majority of what I want to wear, I already have. Most pieces border on hyper classic, kind of preppy…I’m into it. I dressed that way in 7th grade and I might going back for good.

Color palette is classic: Black, navy, khaki, white, light blue, pop of red/orange. Quick list of my ten: Trench, Spring Jacket, Double Breasted Blazer, Turtleneck, Button-down Shirt, a Navy Polo, White Pants, Classic Jeans, a Scarf, Shoes.

All Celine—women’s and men’s (jeans/shirts)
  1. A Trench. Always. Obviously. I love the image below (believe it’s Molly Nutter of By George in Austin)…and everything she is wearing is easy and spot on for the season. (Don’t know her trench, sorry.)

I have an old Celine one (featured below in my latest jewelry shoot, below left), and this classic Toteme. I love this from Old Stone Trade, this other one from Toteme (on me last Spring, below right). Kule makes a classic, more affordable version. I am sure more will come along that I like since everyone hasn’t launched Spring yet.

  1. A Spring Jacket. The ones I want/have go in two very different directions. First I am obsessed with this look from Yoko Ono below. It’s a very urban transitional weather look that I could replicate now. And somehow if you oversize the jacket a bit, it gives me Phoebe Philo vibes.
