February is not my favorite month, even when it’s short, it seems to drag on and it’s too cold for too long. Why not indulge in small things that can make you feel better (at least for a while). Some of my favorites….
Fara Homidi Essential Lip Compact. Someone just asked me if I had a favorite red lipstick, I do, but it’s a discontinued Chanel color. I’ve been meaning to try this one from Fara, because this red has orange undertones which I prefer. I just ordered it, so will report back. If you really want to splurge, Chanel has a new Le Rouge lipstick in a case meant to reflect the mirrored staircase of Chanel’s OG rue Cambon space. A reader also mentioned that Marc Jacobs teamed up with Pat McGrath for a 40th anniversary red lipstick (the most affordable of the bunch).
My Mega Mariner Link bracelet. Super chunky jewelry is en pointe for Spring (not that I designed it with that in mind, I just like statement pieces), so you could get a jump start on that. I’m already wearing mine often.
Perfumer H Smoke Candle. I love London-based Perfumer H fragrances, which are becoming more accessible in the U.S. (You can find them here, and here.). When I went to Galerie Half in LA, they were burning the Smoke candle. Galerie Half is also working on an exclusive perfume and candle with Perfumer H coming out the end of the year. Can’t wait for that.
Poetica Botanical Refresh Mist in Grandiflor. My friend Tess Albrecht-Schmitz of Poetica makes the most gorgeous scented ritual-based products. This mist is for your lingerie, your cashmere sweaters, Frances de Lourdes tees, pillow cases…It smells divine and indulgent.
Get your chakras aligned or set your post-winter intentions with some crystals from Crystal Voyager. She just came back from the Tuscon Gem show and has new pieces that seem to be disappearing quickly.
Good art books are like visiting an exhibition without having to leave your couch. I am obsessed with artist Anna Weyant and this monograph of her work is the latest addition to my library.
Only 11 more days ‘til March….
xx Jennifer

For other exquisites candles, aromas, and incense explore Fischersund from Iceland. Beyond amazing. When I'm lucky to be in Reykjavík I visit the tiny black cottage with creaking wood floorboards. I get lost in scents like no other. My fav shop there https://www.fischersund.com/en-us
