This week it finally looks like the weather in NYC is going to cooperate and I can start to shed the heavy cashmere and puffy jackets. I promised after my Toteme post I would put together a comprehensive list of pieces I will be wearing from now until summer hits; it is a wardrobe that evolves as the temperature rises. I made some collages here, but everything with links is here, including a few extras.
Where to begin. That beautiful Toteme leather blazer and my made-to-measure double breasted one from Saman Amel (more on this in a next post). To wear with my Maria McManus cropped trousers, my new Toteme jeans, and my Carven skirt. The Row loafers when I’m running errands and the Toteme slingbacks for meetings. The blue button down or a simple FDL tee underneath. Accessories include the Hermès Bolide from FashionPhile that I love, a Dehanche belt and my Onxy and Emerald Signet Ring.
Then getting a bit more casual: The FDL Johnny tee in grey and navy, those Tibi white jeans (you all seem to agree with me that they are good), a safari style shirt like this Kule, this from Maria, and a custom-one I have from Micky Paris. I love the Jamie Haller chukkas, I almost bought them last year but decided my Miu Miu boat shoes would suffice. I think I would wear both often. And these adorable Rachel Comey sandals which are super comfortable and add fun to everything (with vintage Levi’s and a blue button-down as well). I am going to CA next week and hope I can wear them there. Hoops, natch and an old Kika NY belt, but I like this latest version too, because I need a bit of hippie vibes in there. (Anyone remember Barbara Shaum, master of made-to-order sandals in the East Village? Kika founders learned their craft from Barbara.)
While I am usually a trench coat person, how chic is this Rika Studios collab with Mackintosh below? It comes in three colors, and has all the pockets making it a cool, but also super practical casual jacket. Ulrika sent me the photo below, love it!
Then when the temperature starts to climb, this linen suit from Giuliva Heritage (I took a 38 in the blazer and a 40 in pants). In my dreams, I’m packing this for Rome this summer. With the Hunting Season bag I meant to buy last spring and Emme Parson’s raffia slides. Also, this Dries Van Noten skirt (and here) I found that feels akin to the Princess Caroline photo I posted last week (below). I think they are restocking. With the Kule khaki shirt and a Kika NY belt? So good! And a little JA Baby Mariner Link necklace.
Weekend will incorporate a lot of the above, but I also get super casual (I have a sweatshirt collection that gets a lot of rotation.) Stay tuned for that next.
